DAY 1 – COSTA DEL SOL – TARIFA – TANGER – RABAT – CASABLANCA
The first day begins early, departing from various points along the Costa del Sol. We cross Andalusian landscapes as we head to the port of Tarifa, where we will take the fast ferry to Tangier, the city that welcomes Africa from its Atlantic window. After border formalities and meeting our Moroccan guide, we continue by road to the imperial city of Rabat, the current capital of the Kingdom.
Lunch is free en route or in the city itself, depending on the arrival time.
Along the way, we pass through fertile plains and coastal towns until we reach Casablanca, the country’s economic metropolis—elegant and modern, yet deeply connected to its history. Check-in at the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
DAY 2 – CASABLANCA – MARRAKECH
Breakfast, today we enjoy a brief panoramic tour of Casablanca, the country’s economic capital and vibrant port city with a Western soul and Moroccan heart. During the tour, we will admire the elegant colonial architecture along Avenue Hassan II, the institutional hub at Place des Nations Unies, and the exteriors of the Royal Palace, surrounded by manicured gardens that reflect the sobriety of power in this metropolis.
Undoubtedly, the star attraction is the imposing Mezquita Hassan II, one of the largest mosques in the world, built over the waters of the Atlantic. Its 210-meter minaret watches over the horizon like a spiritual lighthouse. Visiting its interior is highly recommended (optional).
Lunch is free in Casablanca, where you can enjoy fresh fish, seafood pastilla, or a delicious harira at one of its modern cafés. After lunch, we depart for Marrakech, the jewel of the south. Arrival in the afternoon and hotel check-in, with the option for those interested to experience the unique “Marrakech by Night” excursion in horse-drawn carriages, exploring the illuminated city up to Plaza Jemaa el-Fna, where the night turns into legend. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 3 – MARRAKECH – AIT BEN HADDOU –
OUARZAZATE
Breakfast and early departure to discover the treasures of Marrakech, an imperial city that pulses with life within the walls of its medina.
The day begins at the Estanque de la Menara, a symbol of the city since the 12th century, surrounded by olive groves and irrigated by ingenious khettaras that bring water from the Atlas Mountains. Next, we visit the Palacio de la Bahíaakech palace morocco»], a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture with ornate courtyards, mosaics, carved wooden ceilings, and orange gardens. We then cross the traditional souks, discovering artisan guilds and arriving at the heart of Plaza Jemaa el-Fna the afternoon, we arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the setting for countless films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. We take a stroll through this fortified ksar before continuing to Ouarzazate, Morocco’s “city of cinema.” Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 4 – ERFOUD – GARGANTAS DEL TORDA – ERFOUD
Breakfast and we begin a day filled with natural beauty and legendary landscapes. We cross the Drâa Valley and arrive in Kelaat M’Gouna, known for its rose cultivation. Every spring, a festival is held in honor of this flower, which perfumes the air and adorns the region.
We pass through Boumalne du Dadès, the gateway to the gorges, and continue to the majestic Todra Gorges, a canyon with vertical walls over 300 meters high that echo both water and time.
Free time for lunch, then we continue to Erfoud, a Saharan city known for its fossil quarries, date markets, and as the gateway to the great desert. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 5 – ERFOUD – DUNAS MERZOUGA
Breakfast. We depart for Merzouga, the gateway to the majestic dunes of Erg Chebbi. Here, the landscape becomes poetry: golden sand, open skies, and a silence that touches the soul. Optionally, a 4×4 excursion can be taken through the oases and nomadic villages, including a visit to Khamlia, a village of Gnawa musicians descended from African slaves.
In the afternoon, we begin our camel caravan to venture among the dunes. The sunset over Erg Chebbi is one of those moments that remain etched in memory forever.
Arrival at the camp, welcome with tea, traditional dinner, and a musical evening under the stars. Overnight stay in comfortable tents (jaimas).
DAY 6 – MERZOUGA – IFRANE – FEZ
Breakfast and departure northwards. We cross the Middle Atlas, leaving the desert behind and entering landscapes of greenery, forested peaks, and fertile valleys.
We pass through Midelt, land of apple orchards, and the forests of Azrou, home to the Barbary macaque. Stop in Ifrane, a surprising Alpine-style city, nicknamed “the Switzerland of Morocco” for its cleanliness and European-style urban planning.
Arrival in Fez in the afternoon, an imperial city and the cultural heart of the country. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 7 – FEZ
Breakfast. After a well-deserved rest, travelers have the morning free to enjoy Fez at their own pace: relax in a traditional Fassi hammam with its ritual of scented steam, exfoliation, and mint tea, or simply rest at the hotel.
Before midday, the visit to Fez el-Bali begins, the oldest medina in the Islamic world, founded in the 8th century by Idris I and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A labyrinth of over 9,000 car-free streets, alive only with footsteps, glances, and trades. We admire the Palacio Real de Fez (Dar al-Makhzen), with its seven bronze gates, and pass through the iconic Bab Boujloud Madraza Bou Inania, a jewel of symmetry and Kufic calligraphy.
Among souks of spices, dyes, babouches, rugs, argan oil, and traditional apothecaries, the medina becomes a living theater. Artisans work as they did centuries ago: tanners in the Chouara tanneries, coppersmiths in Seffarine, embroiderers, cabinetmakers, and ceramists. We also visit the University of Al Quaraouiyine, founded in 859 by a woman, symbolizing wisdom and spirituality.
Lunch is enjoyed in a traditional riad with emblematic dishes such as Kefta tagine, followed by mint tea. In the afternoon, free time to explore or rest. Fez is not merely traversed—it is experienced as a mirror of the soul, reflecting the past, awakening the senses, and teaching that beauty resides in getting lost. Free dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 8 – FEZ – CHEFCHAOUEN – TANGER
Breakfast and we head north. The Rif Mountains welcome us with their green hills and villages seemingly suspended in time.
We arrive in Chefchaouen, the blue pearl of Morocco, nestled among the mountains. Founded by Andalusian exiles, its medina painted in shades of sky blue and indigo offers a magical experience. We will stroll through its streets, visit the central square Outta el Hammam, and discover small artisan workshops and shops offering unique products.
