THE CITY

Cordoba was founded by the Roman «Claudius Marcelus» in the year 152 b.c.. The city reached its artistic and cultural splendor during the Arab Occupation (711 to 1236 when it was reconquered by the Christian armies) and is unique in the world for its Arab reminiscenses and beans. During the 10th Century it was declared the Capital of «El Alandalous» reaching the status of Caliphate in the year 929 under the reign of Abderraman III. The Mosque/Catedral has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DAY TRIP

Our representative guide will meet the clients at the hotel along the coast and departure towards Cordoba. Upon arrival with a panoramic tour of the city and then the guided walking tour with the local guide and entrance tickets to the Mosque/Cathedral and Synagogue. Walk through the Jewish quarter where you will see its typical streets of flowers and patios and the Roman bridge. Free time to explore on your own and in the afternoon we will return to Costa del Sol and hotels.
